How to Download the Blood
Rock GPX File to the GAIA App
Below are instruction on how to load the Blood Rock 50 MIle loop to the Gaia App
The 50 Mile loop is repeated twice for the 100 mile. The 50 Mile Race is one complete lap of the 50 Mile loop. The 50K is One Lap around the NOrth End of the Course, plus a short final section. The 25K is the first part of the 50K loop, then splittiong off to the finish.
Almost every year, we have problems with people messing with flags at Blood Rock. Over the last two years we have purchased several game cameras and place them in strategic places around the course. Last year someone pulled up a mile of flags along the Green Trail and the Green/White Connector. We had already had to replace signs on the Red Bike Road the day before. The flags were thrown into the woods. They also reversed a sign at the end of the Green/White connector. This was malicious and done to damage the race. It December it can also be dangerous to runners. We will have more cameras “concealed” on the course this year. The park will prosecute anyone caught messing with flags or signs. I will post ever video or picture I get.
Protect yourself this year. Download the GAIA GPS App to your phone and load the GPX file above. GAIA saves the file and cell reception is not necessary for the app to track your location on the course. The app will continuously show your location and proximity to the course.
