2024 New State Records set at Endless Mile
Runners who reached 200 Miles
First, note the ages of the three runners who ran 200 miles or more at this years Endless Mile.
You will also notice Ed “The Jester” Ettinghausen is listed twice. He chose to divide his race between the 48 hour and the 75 hour in order to complete two 100 miles races. The combined total of both races was 259.526 Miles. And, that was accomplished is 59 hours, 47 Minutes, 36 Seconds. I guess we will have to have a 300 mile buckle ready for Ed next year!
Matt Johnson also set a new Alabama State Record (Overall) in the 24 Hour Race running 114.231 Miles. In doing so, he broke Al DiMicco’s record of 111.1 miles that has stood since 1984.
BTW, Al was volunteering in the aid station most of the race.
We had 61 runners reach 100 miles or more during this years Endless Mile.
